The thing is, after last season they said they'd pull out all the stops to make sure it didn't happen in 2013 but they'd been almost out developed by Mercedes and Lotus...well by Lotus anyway.

What's going to change in 2014?

the development race may have cost ferrari, however i feel that it is a certain mr vettel who is costing alonso, fernando has managed to outpoint and out win mark webber over the past three seasons, vettel however seems a bridge too far

That's obvious. At the first part of the season Red Bull and Vettel weren't far away. Alonso and Raikkonen could mount a challenge to him and then Mercedes joined the party. The problem of Ferrari is the lack of testing. On the YDT they did understood that the mid-season updates were not working at all so they were left behind. Thanks god they will have some in-season testing next year. After all in the testing of Mugello in 2012 they managed to turn around the fortunes of the Ferrari F2012.

Has anyone read this morning A Johnny Hebert story that Alonso is going to McLaren and Hulkenberg to replace him, with Massa at Lotus??
I had heard this some time back , so is this now the truth??
