New VED rates are a 'ticking timebomb'

Planned increases to Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) are a "ticking timebomb"

 1 people agree.

I am getting really annoyed with this government moving the goal post, i have owned mostly 4x4's (I am not a farmer and I am not the devil) in the twenty years that i have been driving, I prefer the them in the same way i prefer 'Iron Maiden' to 'Take That' its freedom of choice from what i drive to what CD's i put in it, that being so the last car i bought was a RAV4, i bought the RAV because it was '211 Co2' and was in a Tax band which all though expensive i was prepared pay at £200 for the year. But now i see the bands have been re-jigged and my next year of road tax is going to cost me £310, that is an unacceptable increase on a car i have already bought and a car i made a calculated decision on when i bought it a year ago, i know i could sell it but who wants to buy these now hight tax band cars that will be flooding the market, the british public are being taken for a ride in cars they can't afford to ride in!

The plan, there must be a way to get the entire british driving public to apply for a tax refund on the same week, everyone could just ask for their money back at the same time, the authorities couldn't cope dealing with everyone not having road tax, they can hardly deal with the ones that do it now.

We could all make a stand, and make a difference to Rip off Britain.

I only do about 6k miles a year, and If we can't change things, I might as well just drive more, what the hell I am paying enough for it.
