Is this bloke a complete prick? the fact that Hamilton slammed Alonso for his behaviour last year is no excuse for someone to be racist to someone.

So, being critical of someone deserves racism in return??

I used to be a fan on Alonso's. Last year I lost all respect for him as he behaved more and more like a spoiled brat. Seems he isn't getting any better.

This should be interesting for all those who claim Hamilton never shuts up - Alonso's being very vocal all of a sudden! He's now made more comments on this than Hamilton has and I don't think he is painting himself in a very good light. If he has something to say and he really condemned racism, he should say just that - not try and justify the idiots who will now feel vindicated enough to probably do it again for their 'hero'. He may be a role model for Spaniards, but he is threatening to isolate himself elsewhere

ALONSO IS A RACIST

Alonso is just saying that if you disrespect a hero of a nation, like Alonso is in Spain, then the same guy should expect a reaction when he visits the country. Alonso isn´t saying that the racist-thing was okay, he just saying that some reaction to LH comments on Alonso should´ve been expected. The racist thing is a minor incident started by a few losers and has now been blown up by the british media. Lets not forget that most of the spanish people treated LH like true F1-fans should do. And I think Alonso doesn´t care about the incident alot, he isn´t focusing on majority or minorty groups or something or solving worlds problems, no he is focusing on the season ahead.

Alonso said Hamilton got people angry with him because of what he said, and it is natural that hamilton was not wellcome, but he insisted that if Hamilton was harrased with racism, that should be condemmed.

So it is quite diferent to what is printed in this site

Hamilton's comments were directed at Alonso's behaviour (a trait he can, in fact, control). And, I'm all for calling a prick a prick!

But Alonso is trying to dismiss racism (directed at a trait that cannot be controlled), and is, in fact, supporting racism as a form of public control.

I've spent too long fighting racism (of any kind, against any group) to accept Alonso's explanation. He's a racist (and, yes, he CAN control that!).
