Title rivals divided on Mosley stance.

Title rivals divided on Mosley stance.

The sport's leading drivers have expressed differing opinions about the recent scandal involving FIA President Max Mosley, with some offering support and others adding their concerns to those of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Honda, all of whom have severely condemned the allegations [see separate story – click here].

I agree with Lewis and Nico on this one. I also understand what Kimmi is saying to and would normally tend more towards his opinion in most cases. This is a tough one though after hearing what Max has been up to it's pretty sicko stuff and would lend one to think he is not the sort of chap that should be in charge of any major sport or company with that sort of darksided personality. He's really got to go or this situation will reflect on the sports reputation. This will effect new and current sponsors opinion of F1 and could jerpordise the sports ability to prosper down the track.

It's typical of Kimi to dismiss Max's actions as nothing, in his very calm Finnish demeanour. But I can imagine Kimi snigerring siliently if faced by Mosley and thinkink to himself: "I have a red car and Max has a red a.s.s.".

For once Lewis is correct on all counts, and what he said is admirable.

chu chu it's not that I do niot agree with you, but a race driver can be excused for overspeeding if he knows what he's doing, although he's liable to get fined like the rest of us lesser mortals, but you cannot compare the two episodes for crass behaviour, can you?

I've got this funny feeling that Max Mosley's going to end up getting away with this. I'm sure the same fear that prevented anyone in Motorsport reporting on this for a couple of days may well reassert itself in the FIA council. Just a nasty I thought I just had I wanted to share! I'm off to watch qualifying.

Chu Chu,just when I started to think you were actually reading the stories before you commented you go back to your old ways!Hamilton admits his speeding offence and admits he was wrong and suggests he should have been a better role model. He then goes on to say that by accepting a driver improvement programme as part of his punishment he hopes he will have learned his lesson.Presumably that is what is known as practising what you preach, unlike Dear Mr Mosley!!!

also, sure everyone s entitled to his opinion and i agree with nico and lewis more than with what kimi said, but that s very kimi too, he ususally doesnt talk about anything apart from the races.

Moseley's private life is his own. As long as it does not affect his professional judgements, no action be taken against him. I agree with Kimi Raikkonen.

If this disgraceful act had been committed by any other head of state or organisation they would have the decency (if you can call it that) to resign immediately, however Max Mosley is an arrogant and vile individual who is power crazy and cares for no one or anything else except himself.

Does he care about his family, about the sport, about other individuals affected by his actions, clearly NO!

He must abide by his own rules, he has brought Formula One into disrepute and shamed many, especially with his dispicable nazi connortations not to mention his disgraceful behaviour with five, yes FIVE prostitutes, he should walk immediately.

I am disappointed that no one stands up to him!

Formula 1 is clearly full of spineless individuals, Max Mosley is a dictator,he's no different to Bernie, no different to Hitler and clearly a chip off the same block as his Father a Nazi lover.

Whether it was a set up or not, Mosley has brought the sport into disrepute, go Mosley, go now!

It is clear that Mr Mosley is now canvassing support and no doubt applying undue pressure to a number of FIA Clubs and national organisations around the world, this is nothing new, he has done this time and time again.

I and several others find his actions repulsive, he is an arrogant and power crazed individual that will do anything to remian in power, I hope that the FIA Clubs and National organisations stand up to his bullying, he is a distraction that the FIA can do without.

It seems ironic that obtaining the information required to condemn McLaren last year was done so without consideration of privacy laws, yet when it's done to him he's crying foul, stage that isn't it!

Yes, I expect he's using this time to 'soften up'the opposition; much like another President under threat I can think of!

LH broke the LAW, Mosley has not why should someone lose their job for doing something in their private life ? If the tabloids photographed any normal person do you think they would have published it? No they would not. The things that he done goes on every minite of every day all round the world, the saying is whatever floats your boat, its not my cup of tea but hey who cares. You only have to look at the exploits of many of the drivers themselves
