The FIA's slow to do anything - a whole 2 months after the NOTW reported the incident.
I think he'll be gone - there's going to be a vote of confidence and I suspect a lot will vote no confidence in him (in fact some have already gone on record saying they will do so - even before the meeting was announced!)

At last we'll be rid of this vile and repulsive individual, hopefully then the FIA and international motorsport can move forward in apositive way, he may have done some good in his tenure but he has sure as hell wreaked havoc as well.
Good riddance I say!

Why the hell do we have to wait 2 more months?

I think they are delaying on purpose. It's a well known fact that time is a healer, and the one leggers now will probably swing into Max's favour.
He will be planning his charm campaign for the next 8 weeks now.
He full well knows todays news is tommorows toilet paper.
It's wrong, but nothing will be done about this.

If he does not resign before then he will probably survive the vote. By then it is going to be old news.
Well they had to find something to ruin this season in the headlines didnt they, FIA is slower than someone with no legs trying to run a marathon. FIA = Friggin Idiots Association.

2 months?! Laughable...... but gives plenty of time for even more revelations!
Yes - I think he should go, and do so now. However, when people are pouring forth the bile on both him and BE, they might do well to recall the state of F1 before the duo came to power. The sport is in a far more powerful state now than it was at the time of the FOCA/FISA 'war'. I don't like him (MM) but respect his achievements as FIA President. As for BE - it will be a great shame when he finally bows out. Remember the saying - "Better the devil you know....etc".
In this day of technology we could have that vote by tomorrow ... either by simple SMS or other electronic form. I'm sure one of the global auditing companies would be more than happy to gather the votes & keep the identities secret from the FIA.
BTW, is it a "1 man 1 vote" system, or are votes weighted? Surely the German & Japanese federations with their manufacturers should have more clout than most other countries? Since we already know BMW, Mercedes, Honda & Toyota's views, how many more are needed for Max to be 'invited' to quit?

I aint one for conspiracy theories but it just seems too convenient the timing of this video. A persons does not just fall into the type of S&M video we have seen it is something which has been ongoing for a while, this leads me to think Max may have been setup by people who no longer want him in the role. Couple that with the rumours of Todt taking over next year and it make ya think.

Are you serious Macbeth? A setup?
Gotta say I wouldn't mind being setup to enjoy a 5 hour session with 5 women at once.

The FIA is going nowhere & doing nothing about this mess. It says it's accepting Max proposal for an EGM & it's about his private life. There you have it. The FIA will just rubber-stamped Max side of the story. The rest of the world will have to suck it all up as usual.

As usual Formula 1 has to make itself interesting by being the press darling. Just like last year the press coverage of the sport is likely to be more interesting than the racing. Yes we have had three different winners so far, but hardly exciting races as usual with the eventual winner clearing off each week. As for Hamilton, he gets more press for finishing 13th than for winning. Fantastic for Bernie and co.

If all circuits/countries ban him from entering - can he effectively do his job ? I'm guessing not so the decision has got to have been made and the wait is just to see if press coverage dies down.
Max it won't get out now

News International have blood in the water. Expect to see further 'revelations' the sunday before the FIA meeting. Unless Max can mollify the NOTW and Murdochs empire (and dragging them to court for breach of privacy won't help) then they'll bide their time and re-light the fire at just the right moment to sway the FIA vote.

I agree and hope you're right that NOTW will reopen this at the start of June.
However Max is banking on the 'old news' effect being on his side by then - ie it isn't shocking anymore, and can we just move on etc. Which is why he called a full meeting - so it would take an age to form, giving the fire time to die down.
So unless the NOTW can dig up some new dirt I can see these nodding donkeys allowing Max to stay on in June.
