Singapore to debut 'digiflag'.

Electronic signal to aid communication with drivers in night race.

It is about time that the most technology biased spot in the world moves away from relying on men waving a peice of fabric around on the end of a stick.

The Digiflag is a great development and can not come a moment to soon

sounds like the thing they use at the ovals in the states all around the track, just with different colours other than yellow and green.

It is good that this is in addition to the traditional flags. I am not sure how I feel about them being controlled locally instead of from a central race control.

this is all good.. until a digiflag fails (we all know technology does) and a driver/drivers cannot see upcoming danger or marshalls on track, stick to the norm it's so much easier and safer

Why did someone disgree with bounce? He's right.

Wellcome to 2008 F1. The use both lights and flags in the US round ovals. Ive never seen the lights fail, but if they did the yellow flag is also shown anyway The ARCA series even have lights on the dashboard. Used by airports? Try used by some apparently pretty low tech motorsports.
