FIA launches 'EveryRace campaign'.

FIA launches 'EveryRace campaign'.

The FIA, F1's governing body, launched its 'EveryRace campaign' at the Circuit de Catalunya today [Thursday], to send a message that discrimination and prejudice can have no place in sport or in society.

Everyone want's to see racism eliminated but doing so is best left to national governments not the FIA.

The extent to which it was displayed in Spain and the manner in which it was dealt with suggests the Spanish authorities and the circuit's management managed the incident really well (notwithstanding the UK press reaction). You have to ask why not be there for it's launch if you think it's so important and why make a mountain out of a molehill when it's all going to be forgotten within a month leaving the real job to those who are in it for the long haul.

I am fully against racism, but I will not be pledging on this site. The site that was the brain child of Mosely who can't even show his face for the launch of the campaign.

Supporting this to me, would be supporting Mosely. I'm confident he will use the amount of pledges recieved to his defence when the WMSC go to paris for the hearing.

Interesting thought Andy! And one which I really couldn't say with absolute confidence was beyond this corrupt fool at the head of the FIA.

Max has just made a mockery of the whole thing, which is why I believe that Alonso and De la Rosa both claimed not to know about the scheme launching today in the press conference. Good for them.

I think it was an insult to spain in the first place not to launch the scheme at the start of the season. There are racist people in every nation, pointing the stick at Spain and launching now has only stirred memories of the pre season.

I was thinking about the fact it has been launched in Spain too. Hmmm, I suppose any scheme to remove racism from any walk of life is good, although I agree Mosely's stance means I can't take it as seriously as I did.

Andy, I don't think the idea for "Everyrace" would have been born at the season start so it couldn't have been launched at Melbourne and at the end of the day the Spanish fans were the guilty ones and need to be educated.
Yes there is racism from all nations, but the ferocity with which the Spanish displayed their distaste for Hamilton was quite disturbing. Caged animals are better behaved!
Still can't get your thought out of my mind though, that MM would use the votes to his advantage in his twisted and corrupt way.

I don't know how people can be a racist in a sport such as F1. I enjoy watchintg the sports as much as watching the grid-girls in every country. There's so much beauty in F1.
