Mallya 'amused' by A1GP comments.

Force India team owner Vijay Mallya has hit back at comments from A1GP chairman Tony Teixeira that the former Spyker outfit is 'sending the wrong message' to Indian Formula 1 fans.

i quite agree with vijay. it is obvious that teixeira is just trying to talk up his own series. he said that he was trying to buy str or spyker, but it is easy to say this and then not to proceed. i am sure that when an indian driver is considered to be good enough, then he (or she) would get a formula 1 opportunity, ad it does not HAVE to be with force india!

wel i dont agree wid the fact that all deserving drivers get into f1.some miss out due to sponsorships problems..but speaking about this topic.well yeah force india has put INDIA into the f1 map.although INDIA has become the largest viewer of f1 after karthikeyan raced in 2005 but it stil continues to do so..there are now more f1 enthusiasts in INDIA..i have heard of some potential drivers caled aditya patel, arman ebrahim, ashwin sundar etc...although karun chandhok remains the best bet..but india is producing great potential drivers in a large amount in these years..

Well Texiera, we might care about A1GP if your drivers werent failed F1 backmarkers or new kids barely out of nappies.

i really like a1gp for its interesting feature race with the 2 windows for tyre stops but texeira is giving negative publicity to a racing series which cud have a bright future with the ferrari cars next season

indians are obsessed with winners but still i believe that force india will continue to get support of the general public till they become potential frontrunners...........i totally agree that the next indian driver in f1 mite not be in force india after all........karun chandhok mite have his share of bad luck but he will be in f1 for sure

Given South Africa's recent history (i doubt they were giving hope to young black sports men and women) I don't know how teixeira has the nerve to criticise vijay for giving false hope to young indians. maybe when he has developed some young black talent from his own country he can comment on the situation in a foreign country.

The fact that force india has entered F1 and has good backing and is making steady progress gives young indian's something to aspire to. teixeira should keep his ill informed comments to himself and concentrate on his own little series instead.

south africa has only one driver at the top level and that is adrian zaugg who raced for arden last year and our very own karun outsmarted him in a poor durango

Vijay Mallya is spot on. A1GP is a one-make series no different to several others. To call it a World Cup" of motor sport is ludicrous.

None of the A1GP drivers has attracted the interest of a Formula One team or even the top American or Japanese series.

Young drivers with talent are in GP2 and the major F3 championships. A1GP is strictly for drivers with no real future.

At least Vijay has the b***s to have a go at the highest level.

Sounds like Tiexiera is P I S S E D off that he stepped aside and let Mallya buy Spyker for the good of F1 and India and now he is left in the learch without a team to buy and marry with his A1GP perfect dream scenario. If he is really serious about F1 then he should step away from A1GP and put that money into actually buying or producing an F1 team that actually builds it's cars not unwrap a pre made machine. Personally I say let customer cars race but this guy has no right to be saying what he has in this article about another country or another category of open wheel racing wich is no comparism to F1.

Teixeira is an idiot. Vijay has done exactly the right thing and sent the right message. He has taken a team in with his own money, and not buy customer B Team cars with other peoples money. He has put money where it is needed and he can damn well spend it on whichever driver he thinks will bring in results.

Agree teixeira lso a greta chance to stfu - but one make series are bvery good to see what drivers are better - and gp2 IS NOT a one make series, or maybe ti is, but not all the cars are equal at all

Teixeira should show Vijay some support...It might aid him in his scheme to promote A1GP...PMS? Vijay took a big step to form Force India....I WISH HIM WELL!!!!!

at fookhead------you are talking complete nonsense here...you havent yet seen how much force india has improved under mallya..they have improved by 2 seconds from last year..you dont see into the depth of things..you only expect miracles from the first season itself..its complete rubbish..a miracle in the first year is never expected in f1.and you better dont expect that..vijay mallya has improved force india a lot..evryone wil accept it..just wait till 2010 when india wil host f1gp..that time force india will be surely competing far better with other teams..
