Prost: McLaren deserve revenge in '08.

Frenchman throws his weight behind the team with which he clinched three of his four drivers' crowns in the top flight - but acknowledges the Silver Arrows are up against it as they battle to beat Ferrari in 2008.

I'm a McLaren fan but I don't think revenge is the right word to use here. Any team that has got its package right deserves to win, even if it's Ferrari or Renault. I only hope that McLaren will get its package right this year. It's been a long time.

Revenge.........revenge for what?

They were spying and they got caught, eventually. So they have only themselves to blame!

What a dumba$$. Ive been a Macca for the last 16 years, but revenge? Revenge for what, exactly? They cheated, they got caught, they got disqualified. End of story. They werent the only team that did it, but they caught, unfortunately for them. Boo hoo.
Get on with it, Macca. Do your talking on the track.

Perhaps revenge is too strong a word but Ferrari did run an illegal car in the first two races last season without punishment of any kind. (flexible floor).
McClarens' punishment was far too draconian in my view.

Sorry Digger, the flexible floor was not illegal when Ferrari used it in Australia.
When Stepney squealed to Honest Ron about it he notified FIA and the rules were amended to make it illegal.

and as note also mclaren and rbr teams were using the very similar moving floor systems and therefor they also forced to make changes which mentioned by a FIA statement latter in the year.
once again ron was moaning about a system which also used by his own team but not as productive as other teams, like it was also the case for flexy wings and mass dampher.
