STR admits Monaco not ideal debut for STR3.

New car not ready for Istanbul bow after Bourdais shunt.

This doesn't look good. Are we looking at the calm before the storm, i.e. another team facing an acute cash shortfall situation?

i dont think that redbull are short a bob or two.their new car was wrecked, although i would have expected at least two to have been built. monaco, with its high risk of crashing would not be an ideal location to debut their latest chassis. common sense is prervailing. str may be FORCED to close due to ban on customer cars, but this is different to lack of cash. lets hope they can continue next year, as the overall red bull involvement is really the only good thing about F1 these days.

 1 people agree.

Its well known that Toro Rosso are for sale...

They ought to use the STR2 at Monaco - its a race where mistakes happen and they could be on for points. Say there are 8 retirements, that would most likely put them around the points positions. Better to have a reliable car than a fast and untested one in a race where points are a good possibility...

I think you're spot on there Adrian. Plus the data from Monaco would not be useful anywhere else anyway. Thus they have nothing at all to gain from running the new car there.
