Massa shines as Kimi questions fuel loads.

Massa shines as Kimi questions fuel loads.

Felipe Massa made it three pole positions in succession around the Istanbul Park circuit in qualifying for this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix – and now he is aiming to make it three wins out of three too.

Well the good news is that the start's going to be interesting. Both the Macca drivers are aggressive starters, so I dont think Kimi's going to be able to get past them at the start - they'll probably squeeze him.
This will play straight into Massa's hands. If the Ferrari is a tenth or two faster than the Maccas, then he'll pull away from Kimi while Raikkonen is stcuk in 4th.
Webber's in 6th, and hes a decent starter. So is FA.

Pretty interesting grid.

Whilst i agree that both Mclarens are agressive at the start (Lewis overtaking both Ferraris in Malaysia last year sticks in the memory) im of the opinion that the car isnt actually that good at starts. It seems that they bulk down a lot, despite the fact we KNOW both Lewis and Heikki have made demon starts, this year they havent been as effective at the start.

Poor car start-mapping or drivers struggling without traction control?

Ferrari 1st & 2nd (Again!!), wonder who will be third? We will probably have that decided from about the 10th lap or so ! That's usually when i turn over to avoid nodding off!!

With LH directly behind Massa and Kimi behind Heikki this is going to be a nail biter of a start. If Massa is able to hold position then Heikki may be hard pressed to stave of LH while Kimi may make a play on the outside... and with Kimi supposedly carrying a greater fuel load he may have the edge with 4 or 5 more laps if his car responds...

If Heikki can pass Massa at the start Ferrari are in trouble.

In Istanbul the non racing line is much dustier than it is at other tracks. This means that HK and KR and going to have their work cut out for them. Watch out for Kubica in 5th. I wouldnt be surprised if he managed to make a play on the outside of the first corner for 4th or even 3rd.
George, I dont think KR is carrying 5 laps more of fuel. 3 at the most, if at all.

Anyone think Massa's gonna spin it on Turn 8? He may have gotten pole, but the Maccas are gonna pressure him, and he already spun it a few times in practice.

Ghost, im pretty sure Massa will take it wide in Turn 8, as to a full spin im not sure.

Andy, i think you have that one spot on. If Heikki doesnt get Massa at the start, Mclaren are in trouble though.
