Lewis: I'm always hard on myself.

Lewis: I'm always hard on myself.

Despite admitting that he was ‘disappointed' to have qualified third on the grid for the Turkish Grand Prix as a result of making the wrong tyre choice on his final run in Q3, Lewis Hamilton insisted the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-23 is the quickest it has ever been in Istanbul this weekend.

would have thought that the team would have made the decision to use the option tyre to try and snatch pole. did lulu overide team or did the team make the decision? this interview implies that lulu overrode the team decision. not a clever move, as the car was all over the place on the prime tyre!

It turns out the strategy was chosen on the advice of Bridgestone. I hope you will now congratulate LH Tealeaf for beating Kimi to 2nd place. The young man deserves a bit of credit for his performance today.

Undoubtedly, the drive reminded me of Schumachers 4 stop win in Hungary 1998. I would say its possibly Lewis' best drive to date.
