Webber angling after new RBR deal.

Webber angling after new RBR deal.

After finishing seventh in the Turkish Grand Prix this weekend – his fourth straight points finish of the 2008 Formula 1 campaign, and one that has lifted him up into the same spot in the drivers' standings – Mark Webber has underlined his desire to remain with Red Bull Racing next year.

Good to see Mark wants to continue on with RBR. They are really making progress. Too bad DC missed the points in Turkey though.

so that means mark will have spent more time at Red Bull than any other team, and more than half his career at Milton Keynes

Looks like it will be Webber and Vettel at RBR in 2009 if I dare pull ou the old "crystal ball". That would be fun to see.

did you see DCs comment "i didn't collide with anyone this time".Hurah! dietrich must be heaving a sigh of relief. weber had a lonely race and did not do anything that marks him out as a RACER. RBR would be better with two young, ambitious drivers for 2009. that is unless webber proves that he can actually race during the remainder of the season

What did you want Webber to do Rich ard? Slow down so he could let someone try to fight him on track for you viewing pleasure? I do admit it is disappointing that Mark couldn't match Alonso's pace on the day, but to have 10 point this early in the season is a great effort.

Why do you hate Webber so much anyway? Did he kick your dog or screw your girlfriend or something?

dave, you got it the wrong way around. he screwed my dog and kicked my girlfriend! i dont HATE anyone, i just dont like bigmouths who spout but dont perform. i have more time for the drivers who say nothing but go out and do their job.kimi is one such person as is vettel and heidfeld.

Surely they must keep Webber. Replacing both drivers at the same time is far from ideal and I'm sorry but keeping DC would just be plain stupid. Anything other than Webber & Vettel would be sensational - unless Bourdais starts beating Vettel towards the end of the season, in which case we'll end up with Bourdais & Webber.

Don't really see your argument there rich ard.

This season so far Webber has more points than both the renault drivers (for which his team is a customer so shouldn't be beating them), more points than both the Toyota drivers, more points than both the Williams drivers, and the same for the Honda drivers.

The only drivers beating him are the 3 power house teams.

I really don't think anyone could ask for more from him.

I'm sure that if he were in one of those teams he'd be beating some of them.
