Fernando Alonso has described Renault MD Flavio Briatore as being more of a father to him than a team manager – despite the Italian joking at the R28's launch back in February that he was ‘too young' to have a 26-year-old son yet.
Can't see Flav being like my Dad. He isn:t an international playboy, and I doubt the ebullient Italian ever shouted "Alonso! Is that You? Do you know what time it is? Have you been drinking? Honestly, you treat this place like a hotel!!"
Then again...

Always nice to have your 'dad' about when you've thrown your toys out of the pram!

Yes, but I went to Mclaren to find a new dad, but it didnt work out with him. Then I tried finding a new dad with Ferrari, but he didn't want me. So I went back to my old dad because I had no other options.
What the **** is a ******* pram? Just curious. Stupid expression. And no, I'm not a native english speaker.

Good to see the humble soft side of Alonso coming out in this article. He obviously respects Flav emensly to consider him as a father figure. Unfortunately this sort of article brings out the Alonso bashers on this forum every time. These jokers don't really understand the words professional, commitment and ambition. Flav does and that's why he sticks by and supports Fernando regardless of where his career takes him as a good dad does.
So Alonso has Daddy Flavio and Daddy Alonso, Hamilton has Daddy Ron and Daddy Hamilton, anybody else feeling sad that they only have one dad?
