Hamilton walks on water for British GP glory.

Hamilton walks on water for British GP glory.

It may have been a celebrity-packed paddock at Silverstone for a rain-lashed British Grand Prix, but Lewis Hamilton proved to be undoubtedly the biggest star of them all by thoroughly trouncing every one of his rivals to triumph in front of his home fans and launch himself right back into title contention.

I hope all the LH haters, bigots and anti british crowd on these forums will have the humility to give the guy credit where it's due.

The guy drove a superb race in difficult conditions with all the pressure that comes from racing in your home GP. 5 second a lap quicker than his nearest competitor on the same tyres!!! that shows the guy has real talent.

massa decided to do the flamenco all race and pirouettes all over the place.

really pleased for rubens and honda and heid did a job over his kubs for once.

brilliant race.. roll on next season when the reduced aero means less grip and as we see today less grip = more offs = more exciting race.

LH - excellent - RB I am so happy for you in 3rd well done old man. That other pussy whiskered Brit FAILED again. I hope he loses his seat. USELESS isnt the word. All he can do is make a fuss about LH not taking him on in a stupid publicity stunt. I hope you read this and other comments JB and take to driving a tractor - would suit you.

i dont like the guy but he drove brillant and made no mistakes. perfect.

renault and ferraris team need a good slapping not chainging kimi and fernando tyres. those 2 are the only ones who could live with lewis on a wet track.

and massa? what can i say, get either kubica or alonso in that car.

the first 20laps showed that 3 of them out there are the best, lewis, kimi and fernando.

Fantastic race again in the wey from Hamilton. I haven't seen the middle part of the race when he just pulled away, just the start and finish (I work shifts!), but his pace sounds VERY reminicent of the middle stint at Monaco. I wonder who the Hamilton Haters will give this credit to.........?

LH again EXCELLENT and that comes from a non lover - but one who recognises real tallent. Those "flying Finns????" maybe they need snow or gravel - hmmmm on that they are incredible, but on the black stuff in rain...ooooops ..and check back the offs by other F1 FinnChamps - they really dont get the hand of it in rain. Rubens, you chucked that bottle of plonk down your own nexk - I would LOVE to know what was going thru your mind.. Bless ya old man - shows them yung-guns a thing or three

GREAT RACE.. New rules for the last half of the season, sprinkler systems set up at all tracks for wet races. Sure beats the boring dry procession racing...

I love ferrari and hate mclaren with a passion but i have to give credit where credit is due. LH really showed class out there just like senna and schumi used to. I am very angry with ferrari for not changing Kimi tyres. Kimi would not have won but second place would have been his and he would be now leading the championship by 2 points.

FERRARI RE-GROUP AND STOP TAKING SILLY GAMBLES. LAST YEAR WE WERE CONSISTANT AND WON BOTH CHAMPIONSHIPS.

SCUDERIA FERRARI FOR EVER

Lewis won by 68 secs - that more than a minute. Where was Kovalinen & Raikkonen ?. Lewis clearly has the confidence right from the start in the wet. And if he had'nt spoilt his Canadian & France races he could be way ahead in the championship. Then again Massa threw away the first two races, but lead the championship after france. Massa was rubbish today !. Maybe a world record for the number of spins in one race.

massa was not rubbish. he just isnt as good in the rain as in the dry. you're going on as if u could have driven better than massa in these extreme conditions. i doubt u would have even gotten off the grid so dont say that about massa. everybody has their good and bad days today happened to be a bad day for ferrari, they dont need u adding to it but they will be back at the next race to show the real FERRARI!!!!!!!

i congratulate lulu. however, i think that crash's headline is designed to stir things up. using a biblical context when they also highlight the times when lulu mentions God, is a little pathetic.

Crawl back Richard! If ever there was a poster on here who makes comments to stir things up it is you!It was a reference to the fact that he had just driven on treacherous wet conditions! Why do you have to bring up any possible religous connection? I sometimes wonder if you are not a crash employee!!!

why would Crash wanna employ someone without a brain?

Anyway back to the topic, he was amazing today, when Kimi started catching him i though "oh here we go again" but it was Ferrari making the mistakes today and Mclaren made the right decision on tyres throughout the race. He just ruled there today.
Also well done to Barichello and Heidfeld on their podiums.

I've watched Formula 1 racing for many year's on TV. What used to be exciting has now become extremely boring. It's either Ferrari or McLaren winning, with rare exception's. It should be obvious to most who are knowledgeable and informed that these two team's have the most financing, the most expertise and the best engineer's that can money can buy.
I think I'll go back to Nascar,...at least the outcome is "varied."
Thank's.

richard, you really have become a parody of yourself! Keep up the good work - I'm sure I am not alone in having great laugh at your **** eyed view of the world. And your constant mis-reading of posts, news stories and quotes - hilarious!

Marshall, afaik Toyota is the best funded F1 team, and I'm sure Honda and BMW aren't too far behind. And if you think that that was a boring F1 race then you would be in a small minority, cos it had more action and overtaking then most F1 races have.

A stunning trio of drives by each on the podium, and real howlers from 3 of the 4 championship contenders. Great value I'd say!

Thanks to Rain, the British GP was amazing race.
Brilliant drive by Lewis.
Last emphatic performance of this kind was I can think of was Montoya winning 2003 German Grand Prix leading second placed Coulthard by 65 seconds.
Great racing up and down. Alonso defending Heikki on worn out tires and affable Barichello visiting podium.
And not to forget spinfest of Massa >

Wish we have more wet races around the season.
