Duval stakes case for more events.

Duval stakes case for more events.

Stobart Ford 'guest' driver boosts chances of further outings with top drive on Monte.

I hope to see him get a deal to at least do all the remaining tarmac rallies for the Stobart squad as a nominated driver. I think thats probable although he could get a bigger programme yet. Henning is a good solid driver on gravel so it really defeats the object of having both drivers doing a full programme but Francois is still a good driver who is one of the only good remaining drivers on the market for someone to knick. Something worth remembering is this is the final year for Hennings 3 year massive expert sponsorship deal, maybe Malcolm has his eye on Duval for 2009 and this is his way of securing him long term (just a thought !!)..........

Duval is one of the most exiting drivers in the WRC this year, he
has calmed down since his early days and should be given more outings
for Sobart Ford Team.

What Francois has shown last year on tarmac rallies and again now this year in a total new car is top class. I think he is clearly underestimated in his driving quality and only misted out on a top driving position due to his difficult personal character. But he has now shown in his last 4 events that he is quick and consistent and I think he has by now earned a second chance to show what he can do over a whole season. He could surprise many with his speed on non-tarmac too. Malcolm take your chance on a very good driver and release Solberg from more embarrasments on tarmac!!!
