After a difficult time in qualifying, PSG-1 Kawasaki pairing Regis Laconi and Makoto Tamada endured an equally trying race day as the World Superbike Championship season kicked off at the Losail circuit in Qatar.
"I think it's really positive considering these last two days." - are you joking man???? it's ok, like honda, Kawasaki has a new model need to be developed during the season, but that kind of start is disappointig as much as it can be! come on, you have some technology connection with great Suzuki and...I think that something going wrong inside the team. Green people - all of you must wake up! wish you luck!

"you have some technology connection with great Suzuki" Huh? Are you refering to the partnership Kawi and Suzuki had a few years ago on their DIRTBIKE and ATV lines? That never included streetbikes, and it disolved a couple years ago already.
well, i know for example connection between cruisers, enduro (v-storm)...maybe it's a histrory, I don't know, but I can't understand why Kawasaki can't be more competitive in SBK, the machine is ok, i think riders and intelligence is main thing to develop now. I like Kwakis and need to see them on the pace! but when?

Serves them right for dropping Walker - he would have put his b**ls on the line and ridden around the problems. He has been so loyal to Kawasaki and yet they could not even find him a ride in a satelite team.
Good to see he got a decent points finish in WSS - hope he can build on it

Its a french team for god's sake. Why not have Laconi. Why be so supprised they sack Walker, why be so suprised they are not at the front of the field? If the Kwaks were run by Italy/Japan/UK it would be getting better results. Having said all that Kawasaki must be pleased to be doing as bad as Honda but both manufacturers must be sooooo envious at what Suzuki are doing with new riders.

Yep!!! remember Walker on yellow (!!!) zx-10r was awesome, he did really amazing job compared to the others recent kawasaki's riders. So short story...I hadn't know he's british, thought he's aussi, sorry for that;) yellow Kawa with Walker - this package should be present in this season in WSBK (the only Brit!). France doesn't fit to SBK, maybe to peugeot scooters or tyres;P cheers from Poland

Kawasaki - I was surprised to see them do so badly, especially after hearing that they were increasing the budget and the support from the factory. I don't think the problem is Laconi so much as lack of budget / resources - perhaps we should be comparing them with outfits like Yamaha France which are also shoestring affairs compared with the front running teams.

well...it's a fact that Kawasaki and real exterior sponsor is some kind of utopia, guess why? don't know, but it doesn't hurt to leave the god damn green lime to another colour related to sponsor. can't understand that...Laconi would try Yamaha, Suzuki.
Guess what! we should find a sponsor for Kawasaki if they're affraid of trying it there's a lot possibilities.
