After the disappointment of race two in Qatar last weekend, Troy Corser will hope for a strong result on home soil as the World Superbike Championship heads to Phillip Island for the second round of the year.
Lets see the Haga that can win the championship not the one that keeps losing it though silly acts like last weekend .As for Corser no way think you'v lost your bottle mate

alot of hard words against corser, he fought well in race 1 and was only beaten by two amazing riders with bikes on the day that were better.
race 2: he finished along way ahead of his team mate.
couldnt of done anything more. Troy is shapping up for a good season. back to his smooth best.

I have never been impressed by Corser during his last two seasons. And I don't think he will impress me this year......
He's amazing in Superpole, but you won't win a race by just one flying lap. Oke, race 1 Qatar was good, but again he failed to battle for victory till the end. Just as he did last year most of the time....
I don't believe he's capable of winning races anymore. There is no grit, no determination. In my opinion he is the number 4 or 5 in the World SBK.

Troy seems to be one of those riders who is unbeatable when everything is going right and he can ride his own lines smoothly. I remember when he was still a Ducati Rider people liked to right him off as having lost the touch. As we all know several years later he won the championship on the Suzuki. If not for some misfortune, including rain at Philip Island, he may have won the world championship on the Aprilia, and if not for a fall on the sighting lap going into the last round he may have won another world championship on the Ducati. Big if's, but none the less true. From my point of view Troy is still one of the best riders period and if things go his way he could well win again.

Absolutely, MAtty, i saw him on the aprilia in 2000 (or 2001?) in Valencia, he thrahed everyone on both races. People keep saying he has no grit anymore. Well i guess u need some of that to smoke everyone else on superpole. Troy s problem i think is, apart from age, the crapelli tyres. A problem for everyobne, sure, but Troy needs (and knows how to get it) everything in place. He s not one to ride around problems. Also, i think Haga would ve never been so fast last year without Troy C in his team
Corser is one of the very best riders for sure, but also THE one who seems unable to keep on pushing when the tires go off. Many less precise riders find their way out, like Xaus or Haga, or Bayliss (masterful in the 1st race), but not Corser. If only Crapelli could at least supply tires that last all race long, we would have fantastic races, instead of these ridiculous last 10 laps where some of the best riders in the world can only try to avoid crashing with laptimes 2seconds or more off the pace ...

was that you? yeah crapelli is pretty accurate ... they all sufer halfway through ... reminds me of the michelins in mgp last year ... guys are not supposed to lap 6 tenths slower in the second half of the race, definitely
then again, hats off to whoever can keep it up when the tyres go off .. i ve always thought that s where real skills come out ... and, ducati are definitely better at keeping tyres. that yamaha just eats them out - we re talking troy c, but haga s race 2 was f terrible - he was probably hurt too
