Bayliss the old warrior !

8 stitches in his arm and half a second faster than anyone else, sensational !

Cheers

That 200cc is the only reason Carl Fogarty ever won a single race

boo hoo, there seems to be alot of sour grapes towards ducati.not only here but in moto gp as well. its good to see something other than japanese on top, be it stoner or bayliss or whoever.just like a holden/opel driver that thinks mercedes or ferari are ****, now now children, keep those toys in the pram

Someone tell me please why Bayliss being always so fast
on a Ducati couldn't ride the honda motogp.

Stunning lap by Baylis. But I think the huge gap in abilities of riders in WSBK & MotoGP is demonstrated here. Bayliss really dominates WSBK but did not feature in MotoGP

TB never (or almost) uses the clutch.
For some reason it works with the ducatis
but not with the japanese.
He may be a genius on the italian machine
but on another bike he wouldn't get a single
podium along the year (as he didn't with sito pons).

OK, where are all the Biaggi is a riding god types then....

Yes I know, he snapped his gear lever before superpole, but come on, the bloke was slower than Jakub Smrz in practice ;)

Foggy may well have been an R's hole but he could actually ride a bike (and without any CC advantage)

Bayliss didn't ride the Honda well because it was too "refined". Moto gp bikes in general are too "refined" when he had his best season in GP (2003 year), the Desmo was raw dog...the following year..they reworked everything and it became a different bike. Get your facts straight...Bayliss came in 6th on a Suzuki bike as a wild card in GP years b4 he became a Ducati rider. He came in second on a Kawasaki bike in a national championship also. He can ride any forkin bike..he just needs it to be mostly motor without the extra high tech crap.

Bayliss can win world surperbikes on other bikes thats what makes it such s shame that he has to ride a bike with 200cc advantage . And Fogarty won so many championships becaues he was riding a works bike when the paddock was full of satelilte ducati's and yes he is a pr1ck.

Well Bayliss K.O.'d the field yesterday. Complete domination. I hear the other teams screaming about unfair advantage of the Ducatis. but the other 1098's weren't really anywhere. Bayliss was sublime.
Obviously maths is not a strong suite here. I make 1100 - 1000 = 100cc. So where does the 200 cc come from. Possibly from many years ago when 4's were 750 cc and Ducati's were 997cc. We have moved on a bit.
