Rossi 'happy' with wet debut.

Sort Comments:

Rossi 'happy' with wet debut.

Despite having had just the morning to get used to his new tyres in the conditions, Rossi finished the qualifying session in second place to Stoner and 0.2secs in front of Honda's Nicky Hayden, who was the top Michelin rider.

I wonder how much it cost the Rossi fans to get the cameraman to take the main pic of this topic

Well at least he is happy and not complaining like a lot of other people around him ;)

Why not be happy with being 2nd, after last years results in the wet and dryin tracks?

I love how everyone knocks him when its his first time on the wets tryin to find a wet set up.

Just cos its Rossi he should be in first, blitzing the filed...i suppose if stoner hadnt of come first the excuse woud be 'its a bogey track' or 'he's still injured' or 'why does he need the car when he's got the championship'

everyone goes on about stoner's gap...what about rossi in china last year? we all know how down on speed he was let alone the endless back straight and he managed to beat 2nd place by 0.8 of a second..in the dry.

Why push it, the times yesterday don't count for overall qualifying prize at the end of the season, yes it would have been nice to have won the beemer and put a mind games marker down on everyone else. But conditions were not good and with two other riders sitting it out due to injury a lot of the riders were probably thinking more towards the first race and being fit for it. Casey had the upper hand yesterday but when race day comes thats when it matters and Rossi won this session last year then struggled in the races, its all still open until we get a few races over with

the only reason rossi was slow is because it was he first time on bs wets. on dry tracks over the winter he has been massivly fast. i think he can push for the title this year he needs a bit of luck.

I agree on you rbr46 that Stoner had the advantage with the weather situation. It would be nice to see their best times in a dry situation. Consider the fact that Jerez is a typical Vale circuit I find Casey's progress a good thing and a warning that he is getting stronger...Let the races begin!! ;)

Aussie bitter??? yer right mate... and what exactly do you reckon we would have to be bitter about pray tell???

Dah groupies reality check 101-----
Stoner is also on a NEW bike which has a NEW engine, he is also testing NEW tyres and has little time on the NEW Bridgstones wets Or drys for that matter at Jerez especially. Er notice who is posting faster dry lap times da clown.... and still Casey scares the bejeezzzes out of you lot enough to spew on mindlessly!
Ahhh I truly love it ;)
