'Lonely' Lorenzo second to Stoner.

'Lonely' Lorenzo second to Stoner.

Jorge Lorenzo found his first taste of MotoGP night riding a lonely experience - but that didn't stop the class rookie being an impressive second fastest, behind only world champion Casey Stoner.

I must admit that Lorenzo suprised me again (in a positive way)he shows us that the Yamaha is able to set some realy fast laptimes.. I can't wait to see him race next week, he could be a podium contender..

Man its going to be a huge laugh if Lunatic beats Vale AND Pedrobot this year.

Imagen Lunatic constantly beating Pedrobot like Casey is beating Pedrobot, and Pedrobot is constantly third lol that'll be fun.

Don't hold your breath Kee, It did the same last year, smooth high speed cornering when there are no other bikes about, when racing you can't be as smooth due to traffic and it struggles along with everyone else against the Duc. ( topend mopend it's excelleration that makes the difference, course you gotta have top end too...Plus he's on michelins, but you don't win 2 world champs without being pretty good....This is probably Stoners best track with the poss. exception of PI so you'd expect him to be v.quick...

Very glad that Lorenzo will be their to 'graduate' when Rossi leaves, it's about time we had some competition in Moto GP, rather than 'just' Rossi Vs Stoner.

Just think: within 2 years we will have Lorenzo/Dovizioso/De Angelis fully established and fired up Vs then then old boys: Stoner & Pedrosa!

Ace27himself you're not too far off my friend. Jorge surely has the talent and he showed us his machine is a close contender.I really believe he is going to pull a Stoner on race day. Racing Moto GP is for the young! ;) ;) ;)

I can see Horhay being potentially a consistently bigger challenger than most of the other new arrivals at least in theory and based on the hand he has shown to date in 08. For me though the bottom line 'always' before ever passing to much judgment is seeing how a rider goes on a wet track under the pressure of full race conditions...thats truly were the BS stops and reality tells its tale!

So what was Stoners worst track then???? Oh yeah thats right Jerez the other day where he hosed em all and won that red BMW...

Man its going to be a fun season I can hardly wait

Go the Aussies ;)
