Ducati: Stoner 'better than ever'.

During his stunning race debut for Ducati, Stoner eased past pole sitter Valentino Rossi then - aided by his powerful Desmosedici - remained wheel perfect to the chequered flag, marking the first of ten 2007 wins.

Looking forward to all the great battles Casey has this year.Could be the best years racing ever in MotoGP.Lorenzo's results will be real interesting...

You mean like wizzing off in the distance and everyone falling asleep?
Best racing ever? riders trailing eachother unable to overtake?

If Casey is "Wizzing off in the distance",
I will be wide awake to watch him/Ducati win!!,
& to see the battles between the vetrans, & the fast rookies behind him!!

Morgue, I based it on the fact that Yamaha has more power available and Quatar is a good Rossi circuit, it will be race conditions, Lorenzo looks strong also Toseland and the other rookies are very willing to score... But I agree that Stoner is the man to beat and for sure I expect him on the podium, but you never know...

I expect most overtaking will be on the dash to the first corner, due to launch control.
The ones with bad qualifying and good race pace want to make that up in the first couple of turns.

Morgue, why so negative? No one is forcing you to watch motogp! If motogp is so boring and sends you to sleep, then instead of posting negative comments then perhaps you should watch another championship or maybe a different sport altogether. I, along with many more millions will be watching and thoroughly enjoying the 2008 motogp season regardless.

You are probably right, I don't expect the bridgestone runners in the front row either..

Sure Stoner's the rider to beat, his tests have been almost perfect(for what tests are worth) but I've got a feeling that there's gonna be a lot of bikes with the Michelin qualifiers in the front rows, the only question is will the race tires last?

It's one of the oldest stories in the book. When your not used to winning with pure skill when it does come it is seldom taken gracefully due to not fully understanding what is needed to achieve it. His bike is the one to beat but you'd think he'd been winning Motogp on a 250 for the last 10 years. Very silly.

It's going to be a difficult year for Casey no question, he won easy last year due to a bike that was in another league. However whilst it's obvious evreyone else hasn't caught up, unless he overtakes on the straights he's gonna have problems. We all know how weak his breaking is but the Duc power meant he didn't have to break so hard. I think when he has to he will start losing the front end again..

Yeah man, whatever! Put Curtiss Roberts on the Duke and he would have been the 2007 champ, right?
