Free practice times (combined) - Jerez.

Casey stoner suffered a high-speed fall halfway through the afternoon session. The world champion emerged unharmed and later returned to the track, but was the only rider to lap slower than this morning...

This is shaping up to be a great race. I'm almost wishing away the weekend just to see it unfold.

Hmm...Hayden in the top 5. I wonder what the naysayers will have for that...

I wonder is crashing casey is coming back. No long straight here for that ducati power. He'll need skill to pass at Jerez. The bike won't help him here. I guarantee he won't be top 5 here because he's mostly rider aids and top speed. There will actually be a race here. Can't wait. Lorenzo look deadly and will give Valentino a run for the money like no other racer.

My! My!...Stoner falls. It's going to be Yam 1,2,3 & 4. Toseland will get it right for whatever ails him. They have too much winning data for that track, for him not to have a good setup. We know the man can ride as he proved at Qatar. I can see Casey placing 5th or 6th. Somehow he just can't figure out Jerez and since there is no long straightway, he can't make up a few millisecs here and there. Look for the Honda boys to really give him a hard time at the back. By the time he fights them off it will be too late to fight at the front. Same senario last year. He was so pissed about it too. LOL!!

It's a bit early for all that. Their still nearly half a second off last years pole so there should be some big improvements to come. Casey half a second off the pace is alot to catch up.. Lorenzo looks awesome....Vale looks to have better set up too...Still waiting for Pedrosa to make his mark but I've no doubt he will be up there come qualifying...Wonder how far back Rossi and Stoner will be???

Interesting start to practice/qual. Look where the Bridgestone runners are. Things could change quickly in qualifying though so I'll save my predictions until I see the grid positions. If the times stay that close it could be an interesting race.

Oh know Stoner falls. He sucks, it's all the aids. Waa Waa Waa

Bloody hell want me to go and pick out all the races Rossi fell?

Get a grip. Crashes happen.

And George I think you will find Stoner passed very riders on the straight at Qatar...

Who cares if you crash in practice. It's the race that counts. Still don't think he'll make a podium though.

Casey will be on the podium, same 3 as Qatar probably different order.Hayden will be strong.Rossi could fall if he trys to beat Lorenzo who is simply a better rider.

Dovizioso will probably carve Rossi to pieces on the last lap again.

Stoner will be there or there abouts, he'll get on podium. Crashes happen.
Lets just look forward to a great race instead of picking on riders, who in reality are all riding to their limits

Don't worry Casey will be in the top 5, but his confidence is surely dented. Jerez is not to his liking already and taking risks in the race is not his thing anyway (Since he's got his serious WC-cap on).

A famous last corner manoeuvre "Rossi-style" is unlikely to come from him anyway; he does not want to loose out on Championship points crashing out ( nobody wants that anyway), so I guess he is going to "assume" his weakness this week-end and play it safe. ;)

Rossi

I agree with Harryx CS will play it safe if he finds out that he can't win..
Hope tommorow he will find a better set up though, just read on ducati.com that he struggles with it..

Get pissed all you want, but you don't go from a crashing rider to a dominating world champion in one year on a bike you've never ridden before. No doubt he's a good rider, but his success is coming from massive top end and superior electronics and tires. Casey can exploit them better than other riders, that's why the other Duc's suck. Rossi did it on the yamaha. He was always winning while the others brought up the rear. It won't be easy for him this year cause the other bikes have closed the gap a bit. Jerez will remove his bikes advantages. It's all skill there and that's why he'll get smoked. Casey is a great rider, but a superhuman rider with rider aids and we all know it's true.

Why would you ppl assume that rider aids wouldnt help at this track, i would think that they would be of more benifet here then the more open tracks. All you ppl carrying on about caseys rider aids are full of BS, do you honestly think that melandri would go slower because he has an AID to help him. Every rider on the Moto GP grid is extramly talented or they wouldnt be there (Although Wests time may be short lived).
