Rossi confident after 100th podium.

Rossi confident after 100th podium.

Starting from fifth, the new Bridgestone rider did not get the best of starts and finished the first lap in sixth, but he soon settled into a good rhythm and was stalking Fiat Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, then in second, by lap three.

Love him or hate him 100 podiums is an awesome achievement by anyones standards and deserves some R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Well done and lets hope it's not the last either

Lorenzo is way better than this pretender.Obvious Lorenzo is going to be close to winning this title and clearly Yamaha's number one. When is the last time prima donna won a race? Was it 3 years ago or what?Big ego playing with it self.

He adds more excitement to racing than anybody else.

If there was some actions in Jerez yesterday, most of them belong to him especially in first laps???

Rossi does add interest to a race particularly when he has to fight hardest. However if the camera work had been better controlled I am sure we would have enjoyed the scrap for 5th. The cameras seem too interested in showing the pit crews re-actions, that could be played back later, than showing the last corner shenanegins for 5th place and possibly other lower placings.

Quite an achivement, it took him only 2 races to master the Bridgestone, and now he is at the podium... switching tires is to quite easy as it seems, just look at F1 or Superbike (switch to Dunlop), everybody struggles, but Rosi can do it as easy as it seems to be

The King is back! Did you guys see how he BLASTED past everybody to get to 2nd place? Everbody's been screaming about Lorenzo but, Rossi pasted him like he wasn't even on the track! Lorenzo is a great rider but no Rossi. Rossi was the TOP Bridgestone Rider yesterday and he's still getting used to the tires! Man-O-man this guy KEEPS impressing me. Jerez is truly a racers track and Rossi showed us all again why he's the best. If Rossi would have got a better start, he would have won the race no doubt. He WAS closing the gap. I'm sure Stoner was wanting to prove to everyone that HE is the reason why he's WC but, if we let Jerez decide this, we'll see it's the bike that has brought him glory.

First things first!! Congratulations to Rossi, his team and his fans. There has never been a doubt that Rossi is the Greatest rider of all times. What really amazed me is how Rossi changed tyre brands and immediately became competitive. Really suprising!!
Moreover, JB was against his tire move at first but i guess thats Valentino. The guy does not hesitate to make hard decisions. If he wins the title this year on bridgestone then i guess we will have to end this comments coloumn as there would be nothing left for Rossi to prove.
Jerez is not a ducati track as is known for being a riders track and so its fair to say Stoner struggled. But he will be back strong once the bike suits the track

Hi all,
it's so nice to see some good post's.

Not wanting to entice Marty Cowan or Ace27 back on here but where are your comments about Rossi then, I mean come on you guys, your quick to slate him when he does no good & praise Stoner when he beats Rossi.

Looks to me as if you can give it but not take it & we don't need posters on here like them.

As for Rossi, someone said above the King is back, he's never been away just hasnt had the kit to do the job, I beleive he's been proven right to switch to bridgestone.

I bet ya any money Bridgestone will be using Rossi to develop new front qualifiers.

Continued...

It will p**s people off when all of a sudden Bridgestone get's a decent qualifying tyre, & we will all know who's responsible for developing it.

Rossi said on Sunday afternoon that he was alittle over cautious with the tyres, give him a few more races & we will see just how good he is.

Someone also mentioned that Lorenzo is better than Rossi, I don't think so, Lorenzo is good & so is Pedrosa but Rossi is the real deal & will soon be on the top step of the poduim & im my opinion will be soon winning again on a regular basis

As for Stoner well, he proved at the weekend what he's got when all around him have just as competetive machinery.

I will say no more about that.

Yes, I wonder why after so many comments praising Rossi here the Rossi haters still don't show up. Maybe they're still mourning the lost of the Ducs. Sorry, I don't want to start the flaming. Anyway, to be honest, Rossi has been the reason I watch MotoGP. Recently I accepted the fact that his competitors are getting stronger (CS, DP, JL), but I still believe he still has what it takes to win races and even another WC title. I watched MotoGP in Doohan's era but soon got bored. No matter what people talk about Rossi, he's achieved something that his competitors still want to achieve - and may never achieve. 6 more race wins and he'll match Agostini's record of premiere class victory. Bravo.

I could go on and on about Rossi! The guy is a genius on a motorcycle and maybe having a fast teamate has done nothing but, make him dig even deeper. Maybe Lorenzo has awakened a sleeping giant? Especially when Rossi is feeling more and more confident with his new tires. Age doesn't matter when it comes to racing. Either you have what it takes or you don't. Rossi has what it takes and after 2 years of losing the WC he's still right there in the hunt with the top riders. That says ALOT about his skill. He's the reason I watch MotoGP as well. If someone says I'm not a true race fan because of this, ooh well.
