I'm up and running with 16 world championship points following that third place and podium finish at Jerez on Sunday. It was a great to be on a grand prix podium for only the second time in my career and a real honour for King Juan Carlos to shake my hand and congratulate me. I honestly didn't know he was the King at the time but soon realised when I saw him surrounded by bodyguards and all the top MotoGP people.
Mr. Smith should feel confident that he will likely always have a career in motorsports journalism if this racing thing doesn't work out. A great read.

He certainly has a pleasant writing style - always so easy to read.
He doesnt appear to be too bad on a motorcycle either!

He's amazingly mature for a 12-year old!
Oops, he's a bit older than that, isn't he? But he looks 12 years old in the pictures.
Well done, lad.

"a real honour for King Juan Carlos to shake my hand and congratulate me." I'm sure the King could hardly sleep that night after the honour of shaking your hand (we know what you meant tho). Nice column, nice race - you should be in Motogp by the time you start shaving.

Good read Bradders, keep up the good work as everyone in Blighty is very proud of how you are carrying yourself atm. Shame your not at Brands...it's gonna be great fun but nowt wrong with spending time with your family even if they are a dodgy looking lot lol
