Vermeulen returns to victory asphalt.

Vermeulen returns to victory asphalt.

Vermeulen exploited all of his renowned wet weather prowess to take his first grand prix victory in soaking conditions - putting Suzuki on the top step of the podium for the first time since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP regulations in 2002.

Pray for rain, son. Pray for rain.

Chris is a cool guy, I'm sorry to see he's not getting the results he wants on the '08 Suzuki yet.
His teammate seems to get to grips with the bike a little better.

I wish Chris the best of luck, but I do remember that he was a long way behind last year when he came in for his rain kit, so he had nothing to lose. Good as he is in the wet he was very lucky that he came in when he did. He was also lucky that there was a cracker of a race at the front and they chose to stay out..... too long as it turned out. If it is a wet race then I hope it is wet from start to finish.

I love the wet races, the aussies always do well in the wet as do all the truly talented riders....
07 was an amazing season for true talent to shine. Le Mann and Donnington were brilliant with all the predictable excuses of the losers ie- tyre, HP, and other bleating truly flushed down the s bend....

Bring on the rain in 08 and watch truth shine again oh so bright

I can't wait for rain in 08, as it will show
the only way Aussies can win any more races
this season is in the wet!

Westy might just be able to match the pace of
everyone else, instead of riding around at a
250 pace.
Vermeulen might get lucky if the rain starts
half way through the race again.
And after hearing the Ducatis in the wet at
Donington last year, Stoners electronics and
ham-fist should get him home.
And don't tell me he has great throttle control,
because for someone who supposedly does, he pulls
the worlds most piss-poor MONO's!!!!

I Truly hate whatching wet races, but now I really want a wet LeMans just to shut your mouth up, because Its going to be Rossi's all over dude... And just a little tip to you, last year's mich wet tyre, would loose grip as the track dried out, the opposit from B'Tons, you can ask anyone you know connected directly to motosport (e.g. R. Mamola, A. Criville) will testefy to this. Now, with that in mind how can U say this and that rider are is the best in wet conditions when the oposition was never up to the challange? BTW, did U see LeMans the year before? and what about Donington?? Phillip Island? SOrry dude But I think U guys are whatching a different MotoGP than the rest of the world is...
