"Michael in F1 and me in the DTM"

FFS can he ever do anything without trying to use his brother to big himself up. And as for him becoming a spectators favourite - I'll believe that when I see it

While it's obvious why Merc want to keep him, as a famous name (or famous surname) to attract fans & media coverage, he'd serve that role perfectly well in one of the older cars leaving an HWA car for a more deserving driver.

Why is it becauseof his surname? Why the F..K do you think Hill got in to F1 or Villnueve? Williams had the had the best car of 92, 93, 94, 95, 96 and 97 then Newey leaves to Mclaren and they start winning. Ralf won 6 GPs and is a hell of a lot better than most of the F1 drivers today.

Better than most of the F1 drivers today? I don't think so. Ralf could be very good on his day but there just weren't too many of those were there? He alone allowed his F1 career to fizzle out and I think that reflects his attitude. I didn't say anything about Ralf reaching F1 because of his surname (although of course it helped, just as it did with Hill & Villeneuve). He had a good junior career so was as deserving a chance as many other drivers. My point if you bothered to read it was that Mercedes obviously want him in DTM for his marketing value. But in two seasons of DTM he's been mostly CRAP, so surely someone like Jamie Green is more deserving of current machinery.

tick-tock, so in other words you are saying he is like Raikkonen-a useless driver who does good in a great car? Yeah Raikkonen won a championship, but if you watch it properly you can obviously see its because of the car and teams hard work and Hill won a championship and Ralf was clearly better than him.Ralf wasnt a useless driver in the earlier years but the amount of **** he was getting from the BRITISH media had made him tired of F1 wheras his name was maybe Rob Shirly from Britain, he would still be in F1 and would be a superstar but no, he is a german
