couldnt watch the race as it was only on espn and setanta. however reports show that the race was not a dominant one for merc. tomcyk was leading comfortably until a puncture put him off. then ekkie pitted a lap early and had a drive thru. even so, he finished only 3.5 secs behind. so could have won.

Tomcyk wasn't the only one with tyre problems - Alexandre Premat was having a good race before his left rear also went.
I thought it was a decent enough race. You know the majority of the drivers are pretty good, unlike the BTCC were there are only a few who are good. That's why there is so much crashing, bad driving.

Merc crushed Audi, no escaping that.

Ifs and buts over ekstrom and tomcyk are also applicable to Paffett in 2009. He was the best driver in the best car last year but didn't win.

Boo hoo

Anyway good on Audi for admitting they weren't at the races today and good to see good ol PR winning the day for mercedes yet again.

Forza mercedes!

Justintv, thanks for that, very useful.
The BTCC is a shadow of its former self this year which is a shame. However there was a good crowd at Rockingham this weekend. I do wonder how the WTCC keeps on going?
Anyone going to Valencia?
