I wonder why he's quitting. A driver quits when he's not as fast as before (which I doubt, since Mika is still as good and as fast) or he's not enjoying it anymore. Perhaps, the politics/infighting between Mercedes and Audi that has embroiled this year.

Racing in DTM and Formula 1 ran parallel with so much controversies this year. No wonder, Michael Schumacher must have thought about these things that he's better off riding his Harleys and racing his FXX every now and then.

I was so sad to read that Mika has decided to retire from professional car racing. He has given us such pleasure both in F1 and DTM and still commands a fine following of dedicated fans. My partner and I go to both F1 and DTM races in England and Europe as often as we can and have been lucky enough to meet and chat with Mika several times. His wit and good humour will be greatly missed at the DTM press conferences as will his awesome driving style too. I hope Mika will continue to be successful at whatever he decides to do and maybe we will see him about the paddock now and then at future venues. Good luck Mika and all the best! :)
