I think a DTM drive is better than nothing at all.. and it´s possible to go from DTM to another series.. both Albers and Paffett has gone from DTM to F1 (successful or not) even tho I rate Jarvis higher than both of them.. but it´s also a question of sponsorship.. not all drivers are that lucky :(
but it annoys me that in my opinion "bad" drivers has lots of money while many talented dont!

Too bad 2 of the DTM races are the same weekend as A1gp Shanghai and Brands Hatch so he can´t be there for team GBR.

That''s good. Think he may have underestimated how easy it would be to get a GP2 seat via Japanese F3, so this is probably a better substitute than another season there. Hopefully he''ll get a competitive machine

There are only so many seats at other levels, presumably he will be well paid and nobody held a gun at his head forcing him to sign?

I'm happy for him, Jarvis is a great prospect for the future and, with the right equipment, could do really well.
I don't think the British talent is being wasted, for example, former champion Gary Paffett, race winner Jamie Green, and Paul Di Resta was really good in his first year.

In my opinion all of the above mentioned talents are wasted most notably Jamie green who is now getting rather old to attract attention in a high level single seater category Gp2 etc. Of course its better than no drive at all. Maybe ?
