DC praises Spengler after ‘terrific’ season
Former F1 ace David Coulthard commended his Mercedes colleague Bruno Spengler after the Canadian narrowly lost out on the DTM title once again, this time to Audi's Martin Tomczyk in his 08' spec Audi.

Coulthard praised the HWA driver claiming he would have been a worthy winner after contesting a 'terrific' season.

"[It's a] shame that Bruno now has no chance of taking the championship," he said. "He's had a terrific season and would have made a worthy winner."

The Scotsman also congratulated newly crowned champion Martin Tomczyk while signalling Mercedes' intention to hit back in the Hockenheim Finale and to also bring the DTM title back to Stuttgart next season.

"The same applies to Martin Tomczyk - well done, but next year we want to bring the championship back to Stuttgart," he said. "To come is the season finale in Hockenheim, where I once again intend putting on a good show for our fans in the Motodrom and in the Mercedes stand."
