Augusto Farfus says he is focussed on helping BMW achieve the manufacturer's and team titles at Hockenheim this weekend after himself missing out on this season's DTM drivers title.

Farfus, despite losing out on the drivers title to Audi' Mike Rockenfeller, arrives at Hockenheim in a rich vein of form looking to take his third victory in a row after finishing on the podium in each of the last four races.

The Brazilian won the season opener earlier this year at Hockenheim but then endured a torrid four-race run, scoring only eight-points before hitting back into form during the mid-stage of the year.

His RBM squad currently sits second in team's championship table, three-points behind Rockenfeller's Phoenix squad while BMW trail Audi by seven-points in the manufacturer's battle.

"BMW Team RBM has done fantastically well in only its second season in the DTM," said Farfus.

"We are assured of second place in the Drivers' Championship, and it is awesome to still be in with a chance of winning the Team competition ahead of the final race.

"If we stay focussed, we can clinch the title. I would like to end the season as it began: with victory in Hockenheim."

The season finale at Hockenheim will also be the last outing for the famous BMW M3 DTM, the first of its breed launched in 1987.

BMW will run their M4 machine next season.
