Pascal Wehrlein will drive for the official HWA Mercedes team in the 2014 DTM Championship in line with the firm's increased presence for the new season.

Having run six cars in 2013, Mercedes had already announced a return to a seven-strong line-up in 2014, with five of those to come from the official HWA stable.

A former European Formula 3 front runner, Wehrlein's promotion comes despite a difficult rookie DTM season that saw him score just three points.
