BMW's Marco Wittmann maintained his advantage over the rest of the DTM field by ending the second day of Hockenheim's final ITR test quickest once again.

Wittmann shaved almost a second off his fastest time set yesterday to post a 1 minute 32.132 second lap around the Hockenheimring, a full six-tenths quicker than Audi's reigning DTM champion Mike Rockenfeller.

Rockenfeller did lead the mornings running before RMG's Wittmann moved up a gear into the afternoon.
