BMW will run a number of rookies in its DTM car at Jerez this week including GP3 champion Alex Lynn and Formula E race winner Sam Bird.

Bird and Lynn will be joined by fellow Brits Jack Harvey, Richie Stanaway and European F3 runner-up Tom Blomqvist. Those five will be testing as part of a seven strong line-up for BMW, with Lucas Luhr and former Sauber and Caterham reserve driver Robin Frijns also getting track time.

Lynn takes part in the test a week after driving for Lotus at the Abu Dhabi F1 test, followed by two days testing GP2 at the Yas Marina Circuit. For Bird the test comes 10 days after he took victory in only the second Formula E race in Putrajaya.
