DTM rookie Tom Blomqvist maintains BMW's control on the final pre-season test at Oschersleben, while it was a British one-two with Mercedes Gary Paffett in second.

Defending champion Marco Wittmann set the quickest time on day one and remains the only driver to break the 1m 20s time barrier, as Blomqvist's fastest lap was recorded as a 1m 20.216s.

Mattias Ekstrom made it three different manufacturers inside the top three, 0.315s off the F3 graduate's top time. Martin Tomczyk secured the fourth on the timesheets with a quick time late in the day, with Mercedes and Force India Formula 1 test driver Pascal Wehrlein rounding off the top five.

The three-day pre-season test concludes on Thursday.
