Tom Blomqvist emerged quickest in first free practice for the second round of the 2015 DTM at the Lausitzring as BMW and Audi dominated the top ten.

The British driver, competing in his first season of DTM this year, nipped to the front in the closing stages to unseat Audi's Mattias Ekstrom, while defending champion Marco Wittmann lifted himself into third place.

Despite Blomqvist's benchmark, it was a strong start to the weekend for Audi, with Jamie Green, Mike Rockenfeller, Edoardo Mortara and Timo Scheider joining Ekstrom in the upper echerlons of the top seven, ahead of the next BMW of Maxime Martin.
