Team Abt's Edoardo Mortara has set the pace during the morning DTM warm-up session, beating ART's Gary Paffett in the dying seconds of the running.

Before the session could properly get underway, the Audi of Mattias Ekstrom came to a halt on the circuit, prompting race control to initiate the new Le Mans style 'slow zone' system for the second time this weekend.

Paffett and ART were the quickest to react once normal service was resumed and went straight to the top with a late 1 minute 32 lap.
