BMW Team RMG's Timo Glock has been stripped of his race two DTM podium at the Hockenheimring after his M4 machine was adjudged to have not complied with the regulations.

The ex-F1 driver had finished the race in second position - reaching the podium for the first time since his Oschersleben win last season - but post race checks revealed his RMG prepared M4's boot lid was outside the tolerance of the regulations.

As a result, Glock lost his podium and the 18 championship points accompanied with the position.

Glock's BMW stablemates Augusto Farfus and Maxime Martin were the first to profit from the German's misfortune, moving up to second and third in the process.
