2013 DTM champion Mike Rockenfeller leads an Audi Team Phoenix 1-2 ahead of Timo Scheider during a hightly competitve second practice at Spielberg's Red Bull Ring.

Little over 0.6's was all that could cover the top 21-cars but Audi still emerge as the favourites for pole position with six of its RS 5 contingent engulfing the top-ten order.

Team Phoenix look to have stolen an early march on the rest of their Audi counterparts as former champion's Rockenfeller and Scheider dictated the pace ahead of HWA Mercedes' Maximilian Gotz in third.

Gotz once again proved the quickest of the Mercedes C63's while Team RBM's Tom Blomqvist, who set the pace in yesterday's session was BMW's top effort in fourth.

Red Bull Ring specialist Edoardo Mortara was only a further 0.005's off the leading BMW M4 and found himself within a British sandwich as Audi's Jamie Green followed in close proximity with the sixth fastest time.

Adrien Tambay was seventh for Team Rosberg, marginally ahead of Mercedes' Daniel Juncadella and Audi's Mattias Ekstrom.

Maxime Martin was the last of the top-ten runners aboard his RBM prepared BMW.

Championship leader Paul di Resta again failed to feature in the top-ten after producing the 14th quickest time of the afternoon.
