Lucas Auer leads a Team Mucke front-row lock out ahead of Christian Vietoris as Mercedes dominate the top-six DTM order at the Lausitzring.

Amid a typically hotly contested qualifying, just 0.281s covered the top-ten order as Team Mucke stole a narrow march on the rest of the field.

Auer's 1 minute 16.861 second lap was good enough to beat his team mate Vietoris by just 0.070s as BMW's Timo Glock - just one of two M4s to reach the top ten - was only a further 0.012s back from the second of the Mercedes C63's.

HWA's Robert Wickens joins Glock on the second row while Team Phoenix's Mike Rockenfeller enjoyed a far strong session than yesterday to complete the top-five.

Like Rockenfeller, ART Grand Prix's Gary Paffett was another to make massive strides up the order and subsequently qualified within the top-six ahead of fellow Brit Jamie Green in seventh.

The DTM's recently appointed points leader Marco Wittmann will start the second race from eighth with his nearest challenger Edoardo Mortara only lining up in 22nd.

Audi's Mattias Ekstrom and BMW's Tom Blomqvist completed the remainder of the top-ten.
