Team Abt Sportsline's Nico Muller has ended the final DTM practice at the top of the pile as Audi eclipse the FP3 running at the Nurburgring.
Audi completely dominated the final track action before qualifying for race two later this afternoon, thanks to seven of its RS 5 machines making the top-ten.
Muller proved a step above his nearest rivals during the 30-minute and rose to the ascendency late on courtesy of his 1 minute 23.375 effort.
Gary Paffett was the Swiss driver's nearest challenger in second while BMW's Maxime Martin led the next best Audi runners of Edoardo Mortara and Timo Scheider in third, fourth and fifth.
Points leader Marco Wittmann enjoyed a trouble-free run to 12th but the same couldn't be said of his nearest title rival Robert Wickens, whose running was cut short early in the session.
A loose right rear forced the Canadian to park his Mercedes C63 Coupe into the entrance of the turn three, losing precious running as a result.
