Spengler aims to turn pace into prizes.

Canadian Bruno Spengler will look to carry the momentum generated from a strong fifth place at the EuroSpeedway, Lausitz this weekend as the DTM Championship heads to Oschersleben for the third round of the series.

Spengler, along with HWA Mercedes team mates Mika Hakkinen, Jamie Green, and championship leader Bernd Schneider will have 10 kilos of ballast to contend with on the tight German circuit.

The former French karting champion started the season by finishing ninth at Hockenheim and impressed by ending up posting the fastest lap in both races and is confident that, despite the added weight, he can finish high up the order in Sunday's race.

"At Oschersleben it is tricky to find a good set-up," said Spengler, "therefore the tests on Friday are particularly important, because we can evaluate different things and prepare for the race with long runs. After posting the fastest laps in each of the first two races I aim at being among the fastest over the entire distance."
