Heinz-Harald Frentzen has set his sights on claiming a first DTM victory in his third season in the series following his switch to Audi from the now departed Opel.
Securing a late deal to claim a seat in the works Abt Audi team, Frentzen has made a strong start to the season, with a third and a fourth place in the first three races of the year making him the second best placed driver hailing from the Ingolstadt marque in the championship.
With such a confident start under his belt, Frentzen is now looking for that maiden win following two unfulfilling years at the struggling Opel team
“For me it is an important to join the team, get along with the people and understand the way of working and my target is to get as much as experience in the car as possible. If you have a good relationship and a good working atmosphere than my target is winning races.
Nonetheless, Frentzen admits he is still just trying to become accustomed to his new surroundings. “The car, the team, the people I am working with are different,” he told Crash.net Radio
“I am trying to get to know the people and I only joined the team in April and I am doing fine so far but I have only had three races. There are seven races to go in the championship and that should be enough time to get to know the people.”
