All three Audi factory teams enter the 2007 DTM season with strong backing from global brands, with the wraps due to come off the reliveried A4s during testing at the Motorsportarena Oschersleben this week.
Although the official pre-season launch isn't until Sunday in Dusseldorf, Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline, Phoenix and Rosberg have had the chance to reveal the colours which they will campaign when the series kicks off on 22 April at Hockenheim.
Audi Sport has gained the support of four global players - Philips, Red Bull, the Schaeffler Group and Siemens - while two major media partners, AutoBild
, are also on board. Furthermore, several subsidiary brands of AUDI AG will use the DTM's enormous popularity to promote their products and services, including Audi Bank, Audi Gebrauchtwagen:plus, Audi Top Service and quattro GmbH.
Mattias Ekström and Martin Tomczyk will again carry the colours of Red Bull, as they have since 2004, although this year's shade of blue is significantly darker than in previous years, bringing the Audi pair in line with the drinks company's global programme. Tom Kristensen last season's most successful Audi driver, again steers a Siemens-backed A4, although the car is now silver instead of white.
Electronics giant Philips uses a white scheme on the Audi driven by DTM newcomer Luhr to advertise its flat screen Ambilight televisions, while Christian Abt will be out in a matt-black A4 backed by Playboy
and the AUDI AG Gebrauchtwagen:plus programme. Timo Scheider's similar car, which was unveiled at the Audi Motorsport Launch & Lounge event in Munich at the beginning of March, is also black to promote Audi brands Gebrauchtwagen:plus and Audi Top Service.
Audi's second new boy, Mike Rockenfeller, lines up in a red A4 DTM supported by quattro GmbH and its S-line sport kit brand, as well as by Europe's largest car magazine AutoBild
, while fellow debutant Alex Prémat carries Audi Bank logos on his silver-gold A4.
The Schaeffler Group, a development partner and production supplier for Audi, has extended its involvement to promote three brands - LuK, INA and FAG - on the Ekström and Rockenfeller entries.
