Star rookie Jarvis 'still striving' for F1

Nonetheless, with only a year-old Audi A4 at his disposal and being new to the majority of the tracks visited by the pan-European tin-top series, Jarvis has turned a number of heads – and he intends to do so again at a rather more familiar hunting ground this coming weekend, Brands Hatch.

“It's a nice feeling heading to a circuit I've been to before,” he acknowledged. “It should be a little bit of an advantage, but at the same time a lot of the other drivers know Brands Hatch, too, especially of course the other British guys.

“Every driver coming into the DTM has to accept there is a hierarchy because there aren't enough new cars to go round, so my goals are to do a good job, establish myself as a competitive driver and hope I will do enough to be given a new car next year.”
