Catalunya 2008: di Resta wins bad tempered race.

Called to the stewards after the race, Ekstrom was eventually slapped with a 50-second penalty for the initial contact, dropping him out of the points.

As such, Mike Rockenfeller was promoted to fifth to come home as the best of the 07-specification cars, while Alex Premat moves up to sixth. Green will be classified seventh, with Ralf Schumacher sneaking the final point in eighth.

A bad tempered race all-round, both Markus Winkelhock and Oliver Jarvis were responsible for tipping Gary Paffett into a spin, with Winkelhock getting a drive-thru penalty for his troubles. Legge was also punished for forcing Mathias Lauda into retirement, while Schumacher's pass on Christijan Albers also involved contact.

The series now moves on to the penultimate round at Le Mans, with Scheider still seven points up on di Resta, as it looks likely that both Audi and Mercedes will throw their tactical might behind these two now.
