McCullough wins wet Llandow final.

Keiran McCullough takes lights to flag victory in Senior Light class at Llandow.
Kieran McCullough made it four different winners from four rounds with a superb wet weather drive in the Senior Lightweight class of the 2010 Easykart UK championship at Llandow.

Once again the Senior Lights provided the biggest grid as the Easykart Championship ventured into South Wales and the highly technical Llandow circuit with McCullough finding the sweet spot set-up wise in both dry and wet conditions.

After winning the pre-final by five seconds from Patrick Lay and Elliott Rice McCullough faced a 20-lap final on a soaking track after the rain that had threatened all afternoon finally arrived with a vengeance shortly before the start.

With every one bar two of the 25 starters going out on wet tyres McCullough simply pulled away from the field with only Rice able to stay in touch. Lay initially held second but soon faded as his set-up didn't suit itself to the slippery conditions leaving McCullough to lead from start to finish, taking the chequered flag nearly three seconds up on Rice for his first final victory of the year.

Former Super One racer Sam Dimelow, who has experience of Llandow in the rain from back in his TKM Four Stroke days, charged through the field to grab third from Owen Jenman with John Langridge completing the top five.

At the half way point of the championship Rice leads Lay, who fell to eighth in the final, by four points with McCullough vaulting into third place just seven points behind the leader. Dimelow and Joe Paterson are tied for fourth place, some 20 markers behind the triumphant McCullough.
