Honda F1 driver,
Jenson Button topped the times Saturday at
Jerez, as testing at the Spanish venue finally drew too a close.
Button completed 95 laps in total in the 'Concept Car' on a track that was artificially watered so that Michelin could evaluate their latest wet weather tyres.
The Brits' best lap was a 1 minute 31.523 seconds, fractionally up on Franck Montagny, who was the only other runner on track for
Renault - his best time a 1m 31.288s. Montagny was having his final run in the R25, after losing his position as the team's official third driver.
Button ran with a V8 engine, while Montagny used a V10, which was restricted to simulate the power of a V8.
Bridgestone conducted a similar programme with their teams last week, on Sunday December 11.
F1 testing will now resume in January.
