Frentzen to race at BIC

Following on from the news that Jacques Villeneuve has signed up to take part in the final two rounds of the new Speedcar Series, organisers have announced that Heinz-Harald Frentzen has also added his name to the mix.

The German, who competed in F1 from 1994-2003, driving for the likes of Williams, Sauber, Prost and Jordan and who most recently raced in the DTM, will feature as the ACI Legends' 'guest' star driver at the event in Bahrain this coming weekend – venue for the third round in the 2008 FIA F1 World Championship.

Frentzen will go up against the likes of former rivals Jean Alesi, Johnny Herbert and JJ Lehto, as well as the likes of Stefan Johansson, Ukyo Katayama and Gianni Morbidelli.

when frentzen was in the mercedes junior team with MS and KW, wasn't he considered to be the faster driver. but he did not seem to have the technical and tactical skills of MS and so failed to impress in F1. lets hope that his abilities shine in speedcar.
